With respect to
the natural beauty of the land, Victory Ranch offers a Rees Jones designed
championship golf course shaped by the
environment and complementing the natural surroundings. The golf course opened
to rave reviews in July of 2009, and has many talking about it being the best
course in Utah.
The Rees Jones
design used mostly native topography to shape the holes, and each playing
corridor is separated by wispy, blowing tall fescue grasses. This look has
created a stunning display of golden browns and deep greens along with native
sage brush and granite rock outcroppings.
From top to
bottom the golf course is 100% solid, and not one bad hole in the bunch, perhaps
the best thing about Victory Ranch was how refreshingly playable the golf course
was, unlike many modern designs that just want to be difficult. Victory Ranch
features numerous yardage options, with 7,....yes 7 tee boxes per hole. Don't
you think just about anyone
can find a yardage they like with that many tee boxes?
The finishing stretch
starting at #16 plays along a ridgeline overlooking the Jordanelle
Reservoir, the upper Provo River, and features some of the best golf holes in
the state including the par 3 17th with a incredible 12 tee boxes in which to
play from, producing numerous different looks into an incredible par 3 atop a
cliff.
