The award-winning, Gene Bates designed 36-hole facility is built on the site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Venue for Cross Country Skiing, and offers two excellent public golf courses. The golf course is so good, Soldier Hollow was awarded the 2012 USGA United States Public Links tournament, with a combination of the two golf courses.
“Soldier Hollow is one of the best “Golf Values” in the state of Utah and perhaps one of the best in the country. Top notch golf with reasonable public rates under $75 a round with cart.”
The Silver Course is seemingly a bit more tame than the Gold Course, due to not much elevation changes, but is still a heck of a challenge for skilled players. The Silver layout offers less forced carries, a walk-able routing, and it is perhaps the favorite course at Soldier Hollow.
The facility opened July 1st 2004 adding another 36 holes to the Wasatch Mountain State Park golf collection, now offering a total of 72 holes of golf in the area.
