About The Jeremy Golf & Country Club in Park City, Utah
Closed for renovation. Jeremy Ranch is in the middle of a year-long rebuild of tees, fairways, bunkers and greens, and is expected to reopen on 1 June 2027. Everything below describes the course as it played before the work started, and will be updated once it is back open.
The Jeremy opened in the autumn of 1981 and remains the only Arnold Palmer Signature course in Utah, designed with Ed Seay in the high foothills of the Wasatch above Park City. For over a decade from 1982 it hosted the Shootout at Jeremy Ranch on the Senior PGA Tour, which is more competitive history than any other course in the valley can claim.
East Canyon Creek is the whole argument. Palmer routed around it rather than over it, and the holes that flirt with it are the ones you remember.
— The Park City Golf AuthorityThe opening stretch plays down and back up a ridge through the middle of the property, with elevation doing most of the strategic work — the downhill par-3 fourth and the fifth are the pick of them. From there the round drops into the hollow that carries East Canyon Creek, and the creek stays in the argument for most of the middle of the card. A couple of pairs of holes share fairways, which is unusual and a sensible way to get the most out of a tight corridor.
It is a walkable mountain course, which is rarer here than it should be, and most of it plays in the river bottoms rather than up the sides of things. Fairways are tree-lined and heavily bunkered, greens are medium to large and well guarded. It is not the hardest course in the area and it has never pretended to be — it is the most enjoyable repeat round.
The 2026 renovation is being run by Brandon Johnson, formerly of Arnold Palmer Design Group, with new bunkering, reprofiling throughout and 007 bentgrass going in. The routing is not changing, which is the right call: the routing was never the problem.
What Stands Out
Worth waiting for. The bones were always good and the money is going into the parts that had aged — bunkers and greens — rather than into rerouting something that worked.
