About Promontory's Painted Valley Golf Course in Park City, Utah

Painted Valley is the Jack Nicklaus half of Promontory's two-course pairing, an 8,098-yard course tucked into the hills of the Snyderville Valley. Ranked #6 in Utah, it's big, bold, and unapologetically a Nicklaus design.

Twelve holes of pure visual eye-candy bunkering before you catch your breath — then six more on the closing stretch that somehow top them. — The Park City Golf Authority

This is not a beginner's course, and it doesn't pretend to be for all abilities. The design is big, stout, long, and heavily bunkered — some greens look like they've got elephants buried under them. But played from the right tees it's a genuinely fun way to spend half a day on a stellar piece of ground. It's the sister course to the Pete Dye Canyon Course, the second of up to five planned championship courses at Promontory's 10-square-mile private community.

Promontory is a family-friendly luxury community as much as a golf property, and Painted Valley is its showpiece — best enjoyed from a tee that fits your game rather than your ego. Pair it with a loop on the Pete Dye Canyon Course for the full Promontory experience.
