About Tuhaye Golf Club near Park City, Utah
Tuhaye sits fifteen minutes east of Park City, a Mark O'Meara design laid over high ground above the Jordanelle Reservoir with Deer Valley at its back. It's all bent grass, ranked #3 in Utah, and it opens with a run of holes as good as any stretch in the state.
A good mix of challenge and fun runs through here, from the 480-yard uphill beast at the 7th to the make-a-birdie downhill 90-yard 8th. O'Meara routed it to use the elevation rather than fight it — the third is the signature, a downhill par 3 that plays into a captivating backdrop, with a downslope feeding the right players toward a classic risk-reward chance. Miss it and a lake guards the front right.
What Stands Out
The bent grass is at its best in the heat of late summer, when the conditioning peaks. There's also a par-3 short course at Tuhaye worth a loop if you've got the members' access — a genuine bonus, not an afterthought.
