About the Gold Course at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah

The Gold is the championship half of Soldier Hollow's 36 holes, built by Gene Bates on the site of the 2002 Winter Olympic cross-country venue. From the back tees it's a genuine test — 7,719 yards of elevation change, length, and bunkering — and it's some of the best public-golf value in the state.

The Gold is the one with teeth — long, rolling, and bunkered, with greens that ask real questions. Championship golf at a public price. — The Park City Golf Authority

Built for tournament play, the Gold can be a beast from the tips: elevation changes, real length, heavy bunkering, and undulating greens that reward a precise approach. It hosted the 2014 USGA U.S. Public Links, which tells you the design holds up under scrutiny. Played from the right tees it's fair and hugely enjoyable, with sweeping Heber Valley and Wasatch views the whole way around.
